  Mark is a man of many various talents.  He is an award winning Dancer, Actor, Poet, Musician, Chef and Handyman. 

As a dancer he has cultivated a reputation as one of the most gifted professionals in the field.  Recognized by the ISTD and the NDCA he is the former owner of the Bay West Ballroom which boasted locations in San Rafael and Fresno, Ca.  In 2002 he and his competitive partner (Andrea Nelson) were awarded the national Pro-Am Title of Dancesport Super Bowl Champions.  In the Pro Field, Rising Star Professional Ballroom (Colorado 2005) and Latin (Hawaii 2005).  Choreography has been seen in many productions for stage, television, film, corporate, private and industry events.

As an actor Mark has been seen on stage, film and television.  He holds a B.A. in Theater from Southern Oregon State University, Ashland.  He has appeared in Nash Bridges, Product Ads for Google, Industrials for Sutter Health, Peerless Video, and KGO-TV (ABC).

Mark began studying music at the age of 12 and is a guitarist and bass player.  In the early 90s he was the bassist for the house cover band, 151 at the Jubilee Club in Jackshonville, Ore.  He is a prolific song writer. Presently he is in the process of recording his solo album Bitter Conduct, which is expected to be complete sometime in 2022. Samples of the work are available on SoundCloud.

As a chef, Mark has cooked for many restaurants, including Mick’s Seafood and Steakhouse, Placesetters, Marc Anthony Hotel and Macaroni Grill, etc.  His services have also been volunteered at Homeless Shelters.  These days he satisfies his food bug by practicing his culinary skills teaching cooking lessons in his gourmet galley, aboard his ’50 luxury yacht, The Athena. 

As a writer Mark delves into poetry and playwrighting.  He has written approximately 75 poems to date and is working toward publication.  In 2017 The Writers Digest selected his work, “The Vagabond Quothe Shakespeare” as the 6th place winner of more than 1,700 entries coast to coast and published that work in the organizations annual writing collective. Other pieces have been published in the Cambridge Hall and Beckindale poetry collectives. Mark is presently working toward an MFA in Poetry with San Francisco State University, which boasts one of the top Creative Writing programs in the country.

As a former property and business owner, Mark put into practice the many trade skills passed down to him from his father, who is a master craftsman.  He is a skilled carpenter and mason and can handle fence building and minor electrical and plumbing projects.
